Experience: Our founder’s favourite offering from Yamamasa Koyamaen, Ogurayama is a complex, savoury-leaning matcha that opens with fresh vegetal notes of edamame layered over an umami depth reminiscent of salted nori. Notes of toasted sesame and dark chocolate provide structure and complexity. With a long and smooth finish, this is a refined matcha perfect for home usucha or a standout matcha + milk pairing.

OGURAYAMA FLAVOUR PROFILE

Like walking along the coastline on a spring day. Ogurayama’s dry fragrance is noticeably floral, while its umami depth emerges when whisked with water.

Upon drinking, its first impression is boldly vegetal, followed by distinct marine notes like salted nori. As usucha, Ogurayama is complex and smooth; when paired with milk and sweetener, a delightful “salty - sweet” harmony occurs.
